The Striker

Asher Donovan is one of the biggest names in football, but his reckless behavior and latest team transfer have made him a controversial figure. After his rivalry with a new teammate costs them a championship, the two are forced to spend the off-season training together. Asher expects a summer of competition, but he never expects to fall for their trainer.

Scarlett DuBois once dreamed of becoming a prima ballerina, until a tragic accident ended her career. Now teaching at a prestigious dance academy, she’s focused on moving forward—not getting involved with Asher Donovan, especially when he’s her brother’s rival and the last kind of man she should want.

But as training brings them closer, their attraction becomes harder to ignore. Scarlett has sworn off footballers, and Asher is the one person who could put her heart at risk. With forbidden feelings and plenty standing in their way, this summer could change everything.

Perfect for readers who love: sports romance, forbidden love, brother’s rival, forced proximity, professional athletes, and slow-burning tension.
